Dear Friends,
Today is National Voter Registration Day — a day when each of us can act, and help others to act, to honor our sacred obligation as citizens to make our voices heard in our Democracy. Republicans know that young people, minority voters, and women are voting overwhelmingly Democratic this November — because Republican policies have failed working families — and failed these communities.
The American people have had enough of this disastrous Administration and its weak and inept enablers — MAGA Republicans in the Congress. With control of the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives, MAGA Republicans have done nothing but tremendous harm to us all. They have gutted our healthcare infrastructure. They have demoralized and disrespected our military families. They have wrecked our economy by supporting inept and destructive tariffs. They have been complicit in making our food unsafe and more expensive.
Friends, we can stop their destruction — when we vote MAGA Republicans OUT and elect Democrats up and down the ballot on November 3rd.
America’s working families need Democrats to win this election — and we are fully prepared to deliver that victory and the policy difference that comes with Democratic control of Congress. Whether an incumbent or a challenger in a Republican-held seat, each of our Democratic candidates understands that “Representative” is both a job title and a job description. They are talking about what Democrats are going to do for the American people, and the American people are listening.
Leader Jeffries — soon-to-be-Speaker Jeffries — and House Democrats are talking about lowering the cost of living. We are talking about making healthcare more affordable — including restoring what Republicans stripped from the Affordable Care Act and the improvements we made with President Biden. We are talking about ending corruption — because people see how dirty dealing negatively impacts their daily lives. We are talking about ending wars of choice, respecting our military and lowering costs — at the pump, at the grocery store and for healthcare — and, again, the American people are listening.
Our party is a big tent that represents the beautiful diversity of the American people. We are coming together to say loudly and proudly that they are not going to get away with their cruelty, chaos and corruption. For that to be true, we have to stay focused on what matters at the kitchen table for the American people — and contrast that with the fact that this President and his enablers could not care less about the American people.
