Help Democrats Take Back The House!

Dear Friends,

Each week, it becomes clearer that We the People are not being served by the President, the Supreme Court and MAGA Republicans in Congress — whether it’s nearly 776,000 children losing SNAP benefits from the Republican Majority’s Big Ugly Bill, the tragic anniversary of the Dobbs decision overturning Roe and reproductive freedom, or the President canceling a bipartisan housing bill signing. Our Nation was founded on an unprecedented ideal, yet they don’t care about us or our freedoms, preferring to destroy or deny them rather than defend them.

We are tired of corruption and the wheeling and dealing that is having a direct impact on people’s lives.  The callous, cruel cutting of healthcare — a trillion from Medicaid, half a trillion from Medicare and hundreds of billions from SNAP, while giving tax breaks to the richest people in our country. We must take back the House by focusing on what matters to voters at the kitchen table: the cost of living, the cost of healthcare and corruption.

But before we take back the House, we must take back the Fourth of July. The Fourth is about freedom and reclaiming our patriotism by respecting the dignity and worth of others. The LGBTQ+ community embodies this spirit and helps our Democracy thrive. Through mobilization, they’ve led progress: fighting HIV/AIDS, fighting against discrimination, passing hate crime laws, ending ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ and achieving marriage equality. We salute the LGBTQ+ community for its patriotism and bringing America closer to the ideals of liberty and justice for all. This weekend, we’ll celebrate Pride in San Francisco —come celebrate with us!

We know our diversity is our strength and our unity is our power. We will win, Hakeem Jeffries will be Speaker of the House and, together, we will advance an agenda that empowers America’s working families, that protects and supports all of our communities, that is worthy of the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and that supports the dreams of our children.
