Help Democrats Take Back The House!
Republicans in Congress — do your job or LOSE!
Dear Friends,
This week, the current occupant of the White House graded the U.S. economy an “A-plus-plus-plus-plus-plus.” On camera. With a straight face. The President actually believes he’s doing a great job and refuses to hear about the affordability crisis — dismissing it as a “hoax,” his go-to for inconvenient truths. The arrogance of ignoring a crisis he created is matched only by the senselessness and cruelty of his tariff policy, immigrant labor crackdowns and health care sabotage. Trump promised to lower costs on Day 1, yet every action he has taken has driven up the cost of living and put our health and lives at risk.
Trump and his Republican enablers in Congress are overestimating the limits of their gaslighting. Americans are seeing their own costs rising at the grocery store, skyrocketing health insurance premiums, increasing housing costs and a softening labor market with unemployment on the rise. The Administration can play Hide and Seek with economic statistics and spin tall tales, but Republican propaganda cannot overcome the lived experience of struggling Americans demanding lower costs and affordable health care.
Every day, Americans are recognizing more and more that Trump and his Republican enablers are running the economy into the ground and gutting their families’ financial health and prospects. With every false word, Trump reveals not only his indifference to the hardships facing America’s working families but his lack of solutions for their kitchen table concerns. As tens of millions of Americans are deciding whether they can afford health insurance in 2026 at all if Republicans fail to extend Affordable Care Act credits, they are watching who is fighting to save their health care and who is selling them out to make their billionaire MAGA donors even richer. Know that every single House Democrat is fighting to restore these lifesaving ACA credits. Republicans should listen to their own constituents and join us!
When House Republicans voted to take health care away from millions of working families to fund tax cuts for the richest Americans, voters rose up and voted them out in 2018 — Republicans lost 40 seats, including 31 in districts Trump won in 2016. Massive Democratic wins in November were a warning to Republicans: fix the health care crisis you caused or get ready to lose your job and majorities in Congress. House Republicans know they’ll lose their seats and Majority again if they fail to extend ACA credits before December 31st. The clock is ticking and lives hang in the balance.
Regardless of what Republicans do, we must continue to organize and vote like our lives and livelihoods depend on it — because they do. The American people cannot afford Trump’s cost of living hike nor can we afford to be silent and complacent.
We don’t agonize, we organize — and together, we’ll keep fighting to Save Our Health Care, flip the House and make Hakeem Jeffries Speaker of the House to put a legislative check on this reckless Administration.
